Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA PURIFICAR SìLICA NATURAL OU SINTéTICA E APLICAçãO PARA O DEPóSITO DE SìLICA NATURAL OU SINTéTICA PURIFICADA SOBRE UMA PRé-FORMA DE FIBRA óTICA"<D>. O depósito de sílica natural ou sintética compreende, uma pré-forma (1), colocada em rotação (7) diante de uma tocha de plasma (3) que se desloca em um movimento de vaivém sensivelmente perpendicularmente a uma direção longitudinal (L) da pré-forma (1), um primeiro conduto de alimentação (9) para alimentar o plasma com grãos de sílica natural ou sintética (11), e um segundo conduto de alimentação (13) para alimentar o plasma com um composto fluorato ou clorato, de preferência fluorado, misturado com um gás portador (15). Sódio ou Lítio contidos em grãos de sílica natural ou sintética reagem com o Flúor ou o Cloro do composto fluorato ou clorato, o que permite aumentar, com custo menor, a quantidade ótica das fibras recarregadas com sílica natural ou sintética.
