Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"MéTODOS PARA PRODUçãO DE COMPOSTOS CAROTENóIDES E óLEOS ESPECIAIS EM SEMENTES DE PLANTAS"<D>. São fornecidos métodos para produzir plantas e sementes tendo composições alteradas de carotenóides, ácidos graxos e tocoferóis. Os métodos encontram utilização particular no aumento nos níveis de carotenóides em plantas de sementes oleaginosas e no fornecimento de óleos de sementes de alto teor de ácido oléico desejáveis.Invention Patent: <B> "METHODS FOR PRODUCTION OF CAROTENOID COMPOUNDS AND SPECIAL OILS IN PLANT SEEDS" <D>. Methods are provided to produce plants and seeds having altered compositions of carotenoids, fatty acids and tocopherols. The methods find particular use in increasing the levels of carotenoids in oilseed plants and in the supply of desirable high oleic acid seed oils.
