Abstract

Invention Patent: <B> "PEPTIDE WITH INHIBITIVE ACTIVITY FOR PLANT PATHOGENIC FUNGI" <D>. Lactoferricin has been found to have antifungal activity against plant pathogens. Genetic structures are prepared comprising a synthetic gene for bovine lactoferricin and are used to provide plants resistant to transgenic diseases. Also described is a method of transforming plants to express lactoferricin which is expressed in plants to provide disease resistance to those plants.
