Abstract

Patente de Invenção para ''COMPOSIçãO E PROCESSO DE INIBIçãO DE GERMINAçãO EM BATATAS''. Composições que incluem uma mistura de CIPC e pelo menos naftaleno substituido são reveladas. As composições da presente invenção são adaptadas para inibir crescimento de germinação em tuberculos. Quando assim usadas, o naftaleno substituído preferido nas composições da presente invenção são dimetilnaftaleno e diisopropilnaftaleno (DIPN). Um processo de aplicação de uma mistura de CIPC/naftaleno é também revelado. Em uma concretização preferida do processo, tuberculos a serem colocados em armazenamento são tratados com uma composição de CIPC e um naftaleno substituido utilizando técnicas de embaciamento térmico, com o residuo efetivo médio de CIPC nos tubérculos de aproximadamente 21 ppm a 2,5 ppm. Na concretização preferida, a razão de peso de residuo efetivo médio de CIPC para o naftaleno substituido é de aproximadamente 1:1 a 1:4.
