Gas-operated automatic weapon, particularly a shotgun (1), including a barrel (3) having a cylindrical portion (7) that is blended with a cartridge chamber (5) which can be closed by a breech (11), wherein it includes a gas take-off (15) that is located proximate to the cartridge chamber (5) and is suitable to draw a fraction of the gases generated by the cartridge (41) to actuate a piston that is suitable to open the breech (5) for automatic reloading of the weapon (1). <IMAGE>
