Abstract

"REDUçãO DO DESGASTE ENTRE PEçAS DE COMPóSITO DE MATRIZ CERâMICA ESTRUTURAL REFORçADA COM FIBRAS PARA MOTORES DE AUTOMóVEIS EM RELAçãO DE CONTATO DESLIZANTE". Componentes de compósito de matriz cerâmica reforçada com fibras (FRCMC) (14) empregados em relação deslizante entre si como peças de motores de automóveis, e outras, recebem qualidades de resistência à erosão não encontradas em peças de FRCMC atualmente disponíveis. Esses componentes de FRCMC resistentes à erosão (14) são formados com uma resina pré-cerâmica (12) com fibras (16) de um sistema de fibras genéricas tecidas ou não tecidas distribuídas por ele. Cada componente (14) é cozido a uma temperatura e durante um tempo que convertam a resina (12) em uma cerâmica. As superfícies de contato (22) do componente (14) são, então, revestidas com uma camada de material resistente à erosão (24). Alternativamente, os componentes de FRCMC resistentes à erosão (14) podem ser formados misturando-se o material resistente à erosão (24) na resina (12) juntamente com as fibras (16), antes do processo de cozimento.
