Abstract

Patente de Invenção:<B>"GENE RESISTENTE AO ALUMìNIO"<D>. é provido um processo para isolar genes conferindo resistência ao alumínio e dois genes específicos tolerantes ao alumínio são descritos. Estes genes são designados ALR1 e ALR2. Os dois genes tolerantes foram isolados de cepas de levedura, porém foi verificado que possuem homologia com genes bacterianos responsáveis por percepção de íon divalente. Conseq³entemente, um processo para isolar transportadores de cátion divalente é considerado por uso de complementação de cepas mutantes transportadoras de magnésio de genes de levedura tolerantes ao aluminio.
