Abstract

"TORNEIRA ESFéRICA", compreendo uma carcaça, que forma um canal de entrada e um de saída. A carcaça contém dois anéis de vedação, dos quais um é atribuído ao canal de entrada e o outro ao canal de saída. Além disso, a carcaça contém uma esfera de comutação que apresenta sua superfície encostada em ambos os anéis de vedação, podendo ser girada entre uma posição fechada e uma posição aberta. Na posição fechada os anéis de vedação delimitam, respectivamente, uma área de vedação sobre a superfície da esfera de comutação. Esta apresenta uma abertura de passagem, que na posição aberta define, junto com os canais de entrada e saída, um canal de passagem. Além disso a esfera de comutação é dotada de pelo menos um canal de enxaguamento no lado de entrada e pelo menos um canal de enxaguamento no lado de saída. Os canais de enxaguamento partem do canal de passagem e levam para áreas fora das áreas de vedação sobre a superfície da esfera de comutação. Portanto, na posição aberta da esfera de comutação é enxaguado o espaço interno da carcaça.
