APPLICATION FIELD

This specification describes a patent application for a Utility Model, which refers to a sliding board for buckets for pickup trucks and small cargo vehicles, in order to facilitate the process of loading and unloading bags, packages, boxes, and any product that can be transported in these buckets.

TECHNICAL STATUS

Currently there are bucket protectors made of plastic material that have the purpose of protecting the metal bucket against scratches, bumps and wear due to the dragging of the products to be transported, in the loading and unloading process.

These bucket protectors, as the name implies, are only intended to protect the bucket, as it is fixed in position by screws. State of the art problems

According to what the above figures illustrate, the sliding board treated here and which is generally indicated by the numerical reference 1, is defined as a set 2, consisting of two wooden boards 3 treated to be resistant to the weather, screwed at the bottom in linear guides 4, preferably metallic ones that slide over

4/5 skids 5, which are fixed to the bucket floor 6 of the truck or small cargo vehicle, also by means of fastening elements, preferably of the type screws and nuts.

Each of the wooden planks 3 is fixed at the bottom by fastening elements, preferably screws, to two sets of linear guides 4 and skid system 5, with one set on 'each side end of each wooden plank 3.

In the center of each of the wooden planks 3, also at the bottom, a set of linear guide 7 and skids 8 is included, in which the locking system 9 of the wooden plank 3 is arranged.

At the end of each of the wooden planks 3, close to the lid 10 of the truck body, there are two openings 11 with a hand grip, in order to facilitate the process of pulling or pushing the wooden plank 3.

When pulling each wooden board 3 individually through these openings, it is also necessary to activate the lever 12, so that the locking system 9 is released, allowing the wooden board 3 to slide.

Said lever 12 is fixed to the lower portion of the wooden plank 3, and through a metal cable 13 it activates the locking system 9 of the wooden plank 3.

Each locking system 9 comprises: metal housing 14, spring 15 and metal pin 16, which are connected via metal cable 13 to the lever 12, which are fixed to the bottom of each of the wooden planks 3.

When the lever 12 is operated, the metallic cable 13 is pulled and the metallic pin 16 is retracted into the metallic enclosure 14.

Due to the action of the spring 15, the metallic pin 16 is pushed out of the metallic enclosure 14, in order to always remain housed in one of the holes of the locking bracket 18 fixed to the floor of the truck 6.

The locking bracket 18 is provided with holes 17 adequately spaced along its entire length, allowing the wooden plank 3 to stop and lock at any predetermined point of its sliding length.

As described and explained above, the sliding board 1, object of the present Utility Model patent application, fulfills its purpose in facilitating the loading and unloading process in pickup trucks or other vehicles classified as small cargo vehicles.
