Abstract

dispositivo para a palpação da próstata. trata-se de um sistema de palpação da face retal da próstata que torna objetivas, reprodutíveis e úteis as informações coletadas. o sistema permite identificar zonas de rigidez elevada alcançando toda a zona periférica, comunicando de forma objetiva uma manobra diagnóstica do câncer de próstata que até agora é subjetiva e pouco confiável. tudo isso em um curto espaço de tempo, realizado de forma menos agressiva e mais objetiva que o toque retal. o dispositivo é constituído a partir de um instrumento eletrônico manual dotado com uma alça (1) e uma haste de exploração (3), em que inclui pelo menos dois sensores de força/pressão concêntricos de diferentes alturas, assim como um sistema ultrassônico de imageamento que, através de meios de conexão a dispositivos externos para análise/controle, permite a análise dos dados obtidos e visualização em tempo real da anatomia da próstata em análise.
