Abstract
FIBRAS PROTEICAS BACTERIANAS. A presente invenção refere-se ao campo de apêndices de endósporos de Bacillus (Ena) e montagens multiméricas e fibrosas de proteínas para aplicações como bionanomateriais. Em particular, a invenção refere-se às proteínas de automontagem compostas por subunidades de proteínas contendo domínio DUF3992 bacteriano, contendo uma região conservada contendo cisteína N-terminal e proteínas projetadas, bem como multímeros e fibras dos mesmos. Além disso, a expressão recombinante das referidas subunidades de proteína de automontagem fornece métodos de produção de novas nanofibras de proteína e superfícies de exibição modificadas, tais como esporos de Bacillus. Finalmente, o uso dos referidos multímeros, fibras e superfícies em aplicações biomédicas e biotecnológicas é descrito aqui.
