Abstract
COMPOSIÇÕES TERMOPLÁSTICAS, MÉTODOS, APARELHOS E USOS. Trata-se de composições de poliuretano termoplástico (TPU), métodos para produzir composições de TPU, métodos para usar as composições de TPU e aparelhos produzidos a partir deles. As composições de TPU incluem um polímero de poliuretano termoplástico, um estabilizador de calor, um agente de fluxo e um material de carga. A carga pode ser uma fibra de vidro. As composições de TPU reveladas têm estabilidade térmica melhorada e propriedades de fluxo melhoradas adequadas para moldagem por injeção de artigos de fabricação que têm uma grande pluralidade de aberturas ou poros finos. TPU compositions include a thermoplastic polyurethane polymer, a heat stabilizer, a flow agent and a filler material. The filler can be a fiberglass. The disclosed TPU compositions have improved thermal stability and improved flow properties suitable for injection molding articles of manufacture that have a large plurality of apertures or fine pores. Articles produced from the composition have superior thermal stability, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance. Exemplary articles include screening members for vibrating screening machines. Additional embodiments include compositions without heat stabilizers, flow agents and filler materials and compositions in which two TPU materials with different hardnesses are combined to generate a material with a predetermined hardness. Injection molded screen elements with openings from 25 to 150 micrometers and open screening area from 10% to 35% are disclosed.
