Abstract
VÁLVULA DE ALÍVIO E REDUÇÃO DE PRESSÃO. Uma válvula de alívio de pressão e redução de pressão tem um corpo de válvula definindo uma porta de entrada, porta de saída, sede de válvula e abertura de alívio de pressão. Um bujão (plug) de redução de pressão é deslocado durante uma primeira porção de um movimento a partir de uma posição aberta, a qual fornece um caminho de fluxo contínuo da porta de entrada para a porta de saída, para uma posição fechada na qual o bujão é fechado contra a sede de válvula para obstruir o caminho de fluxo contínuo. Uma mola propende o bujão para a posição aberta. Uma superfície de atuação é exposta a uma pressão na porta de saída que desloca o bujão contra a propensão da mola em direção à posição fechada. O deslocamento adicional do bujão para além da posição fechada durante uma segunda porção do movimento que está além de uma faixa da primeira porção do movimento abre um caminho de fluxo de alívio a partir da porta de saída através da abertura de liberar pressão.
