MÉTODO DE TRIAGEM PARA UMA PLANTA DE ESTÉVIA COM ALTO TEOR DE GLICOSÍDEO DE ESTEVIOL, KIT DE TRIAGEM, PLANTA DE ESTÉVIA COM ALTO TEOR DE GLICOSÍDEO DE ESTEVIOL, SEMENTE, TECIDO, FOLHA SECA, CULTURA DE TECIDO OU CÉLULA, MÉTODOS PARA PRODUZIR UMA PLANTA DE ESTÉVIA COM ALTO TEOR DE GLICOSÍDEO DE ESTEVIOL, UM EXTRATO, GLICOSÍDEO DE ESTEVIOL E UM ALIMENTO OU BEBIDA, UMA COMPOSIÇÃO ADOÇANTE, UM SABOR OU UM MEDICAMENTO, E, EXTRATO DA PLANTA OU DA SEMENTE, DO TECIDO, DA FOLHA SECA, DA CULTURA DE TECIDO OU DA CÉLULA. A presente invenção provê: uma planta de estévia contendo alto teor de glicosídeo de esteviol tendo as características genéticas (1) e (2) abaixo; um método de produção para a dita planta; e um método de triagem. (1) Alelos, em que a base na posição correspondendo à posição 290 de SEQ ID:1 é T, são homozigotos. (2) Alelos, em que a base na posição correspondendo à posição 40 de SEQ ID:2 é A, são homozigotos ou heterozigotos.
