Abstract

PRÓTESE ANATÔMICA DO JOELHO E MÉTODO DE PROJETO. A presente invenção refere-se a uma prótese de joelho e um método de seleção para um paciente específico de uma prótese de joelho de um inventário de próteses de joelho disponíveis ou de modelos de prótese de joelho 3D. O método inclui as etapas de (a) parametrizar uma prótese de joelho de acordo com compartimentos articulares de joelho bem definidos e independentes, (b) gerar um grande número de formas de joelho na forma de modelos de prótese de joelho 3D que reproduzem as assimetrias de forma 3D de cada indivíduo joelho, permitindo assim a replicação do movimento do joelho de praticamente qualquer paciente, gerando formas que variam os parâmetros de forma (superfície e dimensão) de pelo menos um desses compartimentos e armazenando esses modelos de prótese de joelho 3D em um banco de dados, e (c) estudar a patologia do paciente e desenvolver critérios pré-patológicos de prótese de joelho que correspondam às necessidades do paciente. Usando um algoritmo de planejamento, uma prótese de joelho adequada pode ser selecionada entre um inventário de próteses de joelho existentes ou o grande número de formatos de joelho, a prótese ou formato selecionado que melhor atenda às necessidades do paciente conforme determinado pelo estudo.
