Abstract
Para mudar uma propriedade de um líquido polar, um transdutor incluindo uma bobina solenoide fica disposto pelo menos parcialmente no líquido, que é impedido de penetrar no interior da bobina. Uma corrente elétrica alternada aplicada na bobina produz um campo magnético ao redor da bobina. A corrente tem uma frequência e uma amplitude de maneira tal que o campo magnético tenha um efeito no líquido que muda uma propriedade do líquido em uma distância de pelo menos 5 metros a partir do transdutor, em que a propriedade é taxa de troca de gás, tensão na superfície, viscosidade, ponto de congelamento, ou pressão do vapor parcial.
