conjunto de células eletroquímicas, e, método para formar um conjunto de células eletroquímicas. trata-se de um conjunto de células eletroquímicas que compreende: pelo menos uma célula eletroquímica que compreende: -um cátodo que compreende um material eletroquimicamente ativo, sendo que o metal alcalino está presente no cátodo; - um ânodo que compreende um coletor de corrente que compreende um metal ou um não-metal inerte eletronicamente condutivo; e sendo que o dito ânodo compreende adicionalmente uma camada de proteção contendo uma primeira camada e uma segunda camada; sendo que a primeira camada compreende um metal e/ou um não-metal que forma uma liga com um metal alcalino e é formada sobre a camada de coleta de corrente, e uma segunda camada depositada sobre a primeira camada, sendo que a segunda camada é uma camada ionicamente condutiva que tem uma condutividade eletrônica menor que 10-5 s cm-1; sendo que o conjunto de células compreende adicionalmente um meio de aplicação de pressão à pelo menos uma célula eletroquímica.
