um sistema (100) para produzir ácido sulfúrico aquoso. o sistema (100) compreende um primeiro trocador de calor (410) configurado para resfriar água e/ou sulfúrico aquoso para produzir água resfriada e/ou ácido sulfúrico aquoso resfriado; uma unidade de pré-resfriamento (200) configurada para pré-resfriar algum gás contendo trióxido de enxofre, a unidade de pré-resfriamento (200) compreendendo uma entrada ou entradas (212, 214) para receber [i] o gás contendo trióxido de enxofre e [ii] a água resfriada e/ou o ácido sulfúrico aquoso resfriado, uma saída (216) para liberar ácido sulfúrico aquoso e o gás contendo trióxido de enxofre, e um primeiro bocal (220) para pulverização da água resfriada e/ou do ácido sulfúrico aquoso resfriado sobre o gás contendo trióxido de enxofre para resfriar o gás contendo trióxido de enxofre. o sistema compreende adicionalmente uma torre de condensação (300) compreendendo uma primeira entrada (302) para receber o gás resfriado contendo trióxido de enxofre e ácido sulfúrico aquoso da unidade de pré-resfriamento (200) e um meio (320) para circular o ácido sulfúrico aquoso dentro da torre de condensação (300) pulverizando para fortalecer o ácido sulfúrico aquoso. além disso, um método para produzir ácido sulfúrico aquoso. além disso, uma unidade de pré-resfriamento (200) adequada para resfriar gás compreendendo trióxido de enxofre a partir de uma temperatura de pelo menos 400°c até uma temperatura máxima de 150°c.
