Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a um método e sistema para a determinação de uma velocidade de onda de pulso central de uma mulher grávida. O método compreende receber uma indicação de uma medição de um comprimento de um caminho aórtico humano fora do corpo para prover um comprimento aórtico, dispor um transdutor de som na posição da projeção anatômica da artéria uterina, identificar a abertura da válvula aórtica materna com medição do transdutor de som como um primeiro tempo, e o tempo de chegada de onda de pulso na artéria uterina com medições a partir do transdutor de som como um segundo tempo, determinar o tempo de trânsito central, com base na diferença entre o segundo tempo e primeiro tempo, e calcular a velocidade de onda de pulso central com base no comprimento aórtico e no tempo de trânsito central
