é descrito um aparelho de processamento (2) para detectar pulsos de descarga parcial na presença de sinal de ruído, compreendendo: um primeiro detector (3) configurado para detectar um sinal impulsivo eletromagnético (pint; pex2) de uma primeira área (9) de um objeto elétrico (1, 6) e gerar um primeiro pulso elétrico (p1) representando um primeiro evento de detecção do sinal impulsivo eletromagnético; um segundo detector (4) configurado para detectar o sinal impulsivo eletromagnético de uma segunda área (10) do objeto elétrico (1, 6) e gerar um segundo pulso elétrico (p2) associado a um segundo evento de detecção do sinal impulsivo eletromagnético; um módulo de cálculo de tempo (17) configurado para medir um intervalo de tempo (td1; td2) entre o primeiro evento de detecção e o segundo evento de detecção; e um módulo de processamento (18) conectado ao módulo de cálculo de tempo (17). o módulo de processamento (18) é configurado para: comparar o intervalo de tempo medido (td1; td2) com um valor limite de tempo (tht); associar o sinal impulsivo eletromagnético (pint) a pulsos de descarga parcial gerados dentro do objeto elétrico (1, 6) entre a primeira e a segunda áreas (9, 10) se o intervalo de tempo medido (td1) for menor que o valor limite de tempo (tht); e associar o sinal impulsivo eletromagnético (pex2) a um sinal de ruído gerado fora do objeto elétrico (1, 6) se o intervalo de tempo medido (td2) for igual ou maior que o referido valor limite de tempo (tht).
