Abstract

a presente invenção refere-se a implantações de detecção de início de sonolência que preveem a transição de uma pessoa de um estado de vigília para um estado de sonolência com base em informações de frequência cardíaca e, em seguida, tomam uma ação apropriada para estimular a pessoa a atingir um estado de vigília ou para notificar outras pessoas sobre seu estado (em relação à sonolência/vigília), o que geralmente envolve capturar as informações de frequência cardíaca da pessoa ao longo do tempo por meio de um ou mais sensores de frequência cardíaca (fc), e em seguida computar um sinal de variabilidade de frequência cardíaca (vfc) a partir das informações capturadas de frequência cardíaca, sinal esse que é analisado usando-se uma transformada de fourier de tempo discreto e uma transformada wavelet discreta para a extração de características que são indicativas da transição de um indivíduo a partir de um estado desperto para um estado sonolento. essas características extraídas são registradas em uma rede neural artificial (an) que foi treinada com as mesmas características para identificar quando um indivíduo faz a transição mencionada acima para o estado de sonolência e para emitir um aviso sempre que um início de sonolência for detectado.
