trata-se de um método para produzir uma manta de suporte para um artigo de calça descartável, em que o método compreende: - alimentar uma primeira manta-base contínua (1?) em uma direção de máquina (md); - fixar um componente de cós elástico contínuo (4) à primeira manta-base (v); - fixar uma segunda manta-base contínua (1?) à primeira manta-base contínua (1?), cobrindo pelo menos o componente de cós contínuo (4) formando, assim, uma manta-base de composto (11); - separar a manta-base de composto (11) criando, assim, uma primeira manta de painel que compreende uma primeira porção de painel (18) e uma primeira porção de cós (28) e uma segunda manta de painel (9) que compreende uma segunda porção de painel (19) e uma segunda porção de cós (29). a primeira manta de painel (8) e a segunda manta de painel (9) se estendem na direção de máquina (md) com a primeira e a segunda porções de cós (28, 29) voltadas uma para a outra em uma disposição lado a lado; - deslocar as posições da primeira manta de painel (8) e da segunda manta de painel (9) colocando, assim, a primeira e a segunda mantas de painel (8, 9) em uma disposição com a primeira e a segunda bordas cortadas (38, 39) voltadas na direção oposta uma à outra; - conectar a primeira borda lateral (12) da primeira manta de painel (8) com a segunda borda lateral (13) da segunda manta de painel (9) formando, assim, uma manta de suporte coerente (21).
