Abstract

a invenção refere-se a um método para a fabricação de um fertilizante de fosfato de amônio a partir de uma solução aquosa de ácido fosfórico que tem menos de 50% de concentração de p2o5 e é obtida por tratamento de minério com fosfato a úmido, o referido ácido fosfórico contendo traços de cádmio. o referido método inclui as seguintes etapas: (a) neutralizar a referida solução de ácido fosfórico (1) com amônia (3) até uma razão molar de n/p entre 0,1 e 0,8; (b) reagir a referida solução parcialmente neutralizada (4) com uma fonte de sulfeto (6) de modo a formar um precipitado de sulfeto de cádmio (9); (c) separar o referido precipitado (9) de modo a obter uma solução refinada de ácido fosfórico amoniado (10); e (d) amoniar e granular a referida solução refinada (10) de modo a formar o referido fertilizante (12).
