a presente invenção trata de uma cepa de gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus (gd) caracterizada pela presença de pelo menos uma sequência de ácido nucleicos selecionada dentre seq id nos 1 a 10 ou variantes ou parálogos das mesmas e/ou pela presença de um único plasmídeo de cerca de 17.566 bp de tamanho. tais cepas, exemplificadas por imi504853, são úteis na agricultura, particularmente na medida em que as mesmas têm a capacidade de colonizar plantas intracelularmente.
