Abstract
uma turbina de fluxo axial para gerar eletricidade em ambientes de baixa queda compreende um rotor (runner) apoiado por pás guia que são curvas ou contornadas para direcionar a água corrente alinhadas às pás fixas do rotor da turbina. a turbina de fluxo axial possui uma caixa que fornece um tubo de sucção externo. um segundo tubo de sucção interno é apoiado dentro do tubo externo. a turbina de fluxo axial pode possuir um invólucro em forma de bulbo ou poço na tomada d?água na entrada da turbina de forma a alojar um gerador síncrono, de ímã permanente, operando à velocidade variável por transmissão direta (pmsg) e um outro sistema de conversão de energia. a turbina de fluxo axial pode ser instalada como uma única unidade modular em ambientes de baixa queda.
