Abstract

Invention herewith described refers to the floating cross flow turbine and the standing waterfall turbine. The floating cross flow turbine is designed to generate electric power on all river flows. This type of turbine is simple to build, highly effective and for its operation uses the natural flow of the river. It is easy to install on the river's flow and is secured to the bank by cables or some other known building solution. Large number of these turbines can be installed on one river flow at a short distance from each other without interfering with or preventing each others correct operation. The standing waterfall turbine is intended for the production of electricity on all somewhat bigger (longer) waterfalls. It is of the same design as the floating cross flow turbine with only difference that instead of blades there are used cups (bowls) and the turbine is installed upright along the waterfall. With minor changes of the waterfall i.e. directing the water to the turbine, it is easy to install.
