Abstract

é descrito um aparelho (1) e um método para inspeção óptica de uma massa de material polimérico (2) que passa através de uma extrusora (3), a qual possui um cilindrode extrusão oco (4) que se estende alongadamente em uma direção longitudinal, compreendendo um sensor óptico (8) que pode ser acoplado operativamente ao cilindro de extrusão (4), possuindo um emissor de luz infravermelho (8a) e um receptor (8b), configurados para medirem um parâmetro de medição que representa uma propriedade óptica do material polimérico (2) dentro do cilindro de extrusão (4), onde o aparelho se caracteriza por compreender uma pluralidade de sensores ópticos (8) que podem ser acoplados operativamente ao cilindro de extrusão (4) em uma pluralidade de locais de medição, localizados sucessivamente e espaçados uns dos outros ao longo da direção longitudinal, e por compreender um processador (9) programado para adquirir uma pluralidade de sinais de medição contendo os parâmetros de medição medidos pelos sensores ópticos (8) correspondentes, e programado para processar a pluralidade de sinais de medição para calcular uma pluralidade correspondente de valores de um parâmetro de controle que indica um estado físico do material polimérico (2) em função de uma posição longitudinal.
