Abstract
a tecnologia fornecida no presente documento refere-se a métodos e compostos inovadores para um controle de infecção por patógenos multiespécies. em particular, a presente descrição diz respeito a métodos de inibição do crescimento de um patógeno-alvo que expressa uma proteína secretada rica em cisteína (csp), através do que o método compreende contatar o dito patógeno-alvo com um inibidor contra a dita csp, em que o dito inibidor inibe a expressão da csp e/ou se liga a um produto de proteína de um gene que codifica csp. as moléculas de ácido nucleico que codificam os ditos inibidores, vetores e células hospedeiras que contêm os ácidos nucleicos e métodos para a preparação e produção de tais inibidores também são revelados, assim como o uso dos ditos inibidores de csp para o controle/tratamento de doenças associadas com um patógeno microbiano que expressa csp.
