Abstract

A invenção se refere a um método para monitorar, automaticamente, o conteúdo líquido em um gás, e, em particular, o gás saindo de um purificador e entrando em um compressor. No método, uma amostra de fluido é retirada da saída do compressor, sua temperatura e pressão são variadas automaticamente, e a pressão e temperatura em que a condensação se forma é, automaticamente, detectada. A pressão e temperatura então detectadas podem ser usadas para determinar o conteúdo líquido no gás. Em uma variante do método, a temperatura e a pressão da amostra são variadas automaticamente, e a taxa de condensação de líquido é medida para determinar o conteúdo líquido. A invenção também se estende a um dispositivo para resfriar um gás de tal modo que o conteúdo líquido do gás possa ser determinado, incluindo um alojamento resfriado com uma cavidade no mesmo, e meios para medir a temperatura e a pressão dentro da cavidade.
