Abstract

a invenção refere-se a um método para reduzir matérias-primas fundidas, método no qual as matérias-primas, em um estado fundido ou sólido, são colocadas em um leito que compreende fragmentos de coque, em que o leito é, ao menos parcialmente, aquecido indutivamente, e o material fundido reduzido que escoa no leito de coque é coletado e os gases de reação são descarregados, sendo que um leito de coque é usado, o qual é limitado no interior por um elemento em formato de cano, sendo que o elemento em formato de cano é aquecido, e os gases de reação oriundos do leito de coque são extraídos por meio de uma pluralidade de aberturas de extração formadas no elemento em formato de cano. a invenção também se refere a um dispositivo para reduzir matérias-primas fundidas, sendo que o dito dispositivo tem um reator para acomodar um leito que compreende fragmentos de coque e tem um aquecedor por indução que compreende ao menos uma bobina de indução para aquecer indutivamente o leito de coque, em que: o reator tem uma abertura de carga para as matérias-primas sólidas e fundidas e uma abertura de descarga para o material fundido tratado; sendo que o reator é projetado para acomodar um leito de coque que tem um corte transversal em formato de cano que consiste em um material adequado para acoplar indutivamente ao campo de indução da bobina de indução, em particular, grafite, e o dito elemento tem uma pluralidade de aberturas de extração para extrair gases de reação do leito de coque.
