a presente invenção se refere a um dispositivo de segurança e a um método de autenticação, no qual está previsto um elemento de segurança (1), o qual compreende um material de suporte (6), no qual um modelo tridimensional com estruturas (4) como, por exemplo, trincas, sulcos, rompimentos, cavidades, escamas, elevações e/ou encolhimentos é incorporado como característica de segurança estática ou dinâmica, sendo que, adicionalmente um material ou uma composição de material que pode ser detectado através de um dispositivo de exploração pelo menos parcialmente pode ser reaplicado ou removido do elemento de segurança caso necessário, dentro do ou sobre o modelo tridimensional incorporado no material de suporte (6) razão pela qual a cor, a intensidade, a estrutura, a espessura de camada, pigmentos individuais ou uma outra propriedade física do material de suporte (6) e/ou do modelo tridimensional do elemento de segurança (1) incorporado nele se altera, de tal modo que surge uma imagem de aparência alterada pelo menos parcialmente, a qual pode ser detectada pelo dispositivo de exploração em um instante de autenticação e pode ser depositada no meio de armazenamento.
