são descritos determinados métodos de geração de um mapeamento de cor. em um método, uma saída de um pipeline de processamento de meios tons de cores é processada de modo a se determinar um conjunto de valores de cobertura de área primários de neugebauer (npac) que são representativos da saída do pipeline de processamento de meios tons de cor. estes valores de npac são então usados, juntamente com o conhecimento de uma imagem lançada original, para gerar o mapeamento de cor.
