Abstract

MÉTODO E APARELHO PARA PROCESSAMENTO DE SINAIS DE MULTIMÍDIA. A presente invenção refere-se a um método e a um aparelho destinados ao processamento de um sinal, que são usados para reproduzir efetivamente um sinal de multimídia, e, mais particularmente, a um método e a um aparelho destinados ao processamento de um sinal, que são usados para implementar filtragem para sinais de multimídia tendo uma pluralidade de sub-bandas com uma baixa quantidade de cálculos. Nesse sentido, proporcionam-se um método para processamento de um sinal de multimídia que inclui: receber um sinal de multimídia tendo uma pluralidade de sub-bandas; receber pelo menos um dos coeficientes de filtro de protótipo para filtrar cada sinal de sub-banda do sinal de multimídia; converter os coeficientes de filtro de protótipo em uma pluralidade de coeficientes de filtro de sub-banda; truncar cada um dos coeficientes de filtro de sub-banda com base nas informações de ordem de filtro obtidas pelo menos parcialmente utilizando-se informações características extraídas a partir dos coeficientes de filtro de sub-banda correspondentes, sendo que o comprimento de pelo menos um dos coeficientes de filtro de sub-banda truncados é diferente do comprimento de coeficientes de filtro de sub-banda truncados de outra sub-banda; e filtrar o sinal de multimídia utilizando-se os coeficientes de filtro de sub-banda truncados correspondentes a cada sinal de sub-banda e um aparelho para processamento de um sinal de multimídia que utiliza o mesmo.
