Abstract

aparelho gerador de feixes de elétrons e fótons-x convergente um equipamento científico/tecnológico é apresentado destinado à geração de um feixe de fótons convergentes para o uso de radioterapia ou outras aplicações. este equipamento consiste em conformar adequadamente, através da aplicação de campos magnéticos e/ou elétricos, um feixe de elétrons provenientes de um acelerador linear (linac) que interceptam perpendicularmente a superfície de um material curvo de certo raio de curvatura (ânodo), gerando, assim, os raios-x. a interação dos elétrons como os átomos do material do ânodo gera raios-x com um distribuição angular-espacial não isotrópica, com uma concentração maior na direção focal, definida pela geometria do ânodo. pela parte posterior do ânodo, é colocado um colimador curvo com um raio de curvatura adequado, constituído por um arranjo de um grande número de pequenos orifícios que apontam para o ponto focal. este dispositivo permite a transmissão dos raios-x apenas na direção focal. na figura resumo apresenta-se um padrão típico desta invenção.
