aparelho codificador e método de codificação. a presente invenção refere-se a um aparelho codificador que pode suprimir a degradação de qualidade de processos de codificação. uma unidade de limitação de candidatos de seleção final (109) usa o espectro de um sinal de entrada e um espectro residual para designar um dado número de fatores de supressão pré-selecionados para uma unidade de supressão de componente celp (104). a unidade de supressão de componente celp (104) usa os fatores de supressão designados para gerar um espectro suprimido; uma unidade de cálculo de espectro de sinal residual celp (105), na qual o espectro suprimido é introduzido, calcula um espectro residual; uma unidade de codificação de conversão (110) usa o espectro residual para executar um segundo processo de codificação; e uma unidade de avaliação de distorção (112) determina um dos fatores de supressão designados pelo uso do espectro de um segundo sinal decodificado gerado ao decodificar um segundo código obtido pelo segundo processo de codificação e adicionalmente pelo uso do espectro suprimido e o espectro do sinal de entrada.
