Abstract
"TURBINA DE VENTO DE EIXO VERTICAL". A presente invenção refere-se a uma turbina de vento de eixo vertical com um rotor de turbina com lâminas de rotor dispostas em torno de um eixo substancialmente vertical. A turbina inclui múltiplas palhetas de estator se estendendo verticalmente espaçadas de modo circunferencial em torno do rotor em uma disposição anular. Cada palheta tem uma superfície voltada radialmente para dentro, uma superfície voltada radialmente para fora e um flange em uma borda externa de cada palheta. O flange serve para criar uma camada limite em redemoinho turbulento nas superfícies de palheta que roda em uma direção que retira e redireciona o fluxo de ar para dentro dos canais de fluxo de ar definidos pelas palhetas de estator que é então comprimido pelo estreitamento dos canais e direcionados para as lâminas de rotor para acionar a turbina.
