Abstract
"PROCESSO CATALìTICO PARA ESTERIFICAçãO DE áCIDOS GRAXOS PRESENTES NA BORRA áCIDA DA PALMA UTILIZANDO CATALISADORES SóLIDOS áCIDOS". A presente invenção está de um modo geral relacionada ao processo para transformar os ácidos graxos presentes na borra ácida da palma, em ésteres metílicos ou etílicos e à utilização de catalisadores nesse processo. O processo descrito na presente invenção é um processo catalítico, apresentando as faixas de condições ótimas de reação em termos de temperatura, pressão, tempo espacial e concentração dos reagentes, para a transformação eficiente dos ácidos graxos em ésteres. A presente invenção diz respeito também à utilização de catalisadores sólidos à base de sítios ácidos no processo para transformar os ácidos graxos da palma em ésteres metílicos ou etílicos. O processo de transformação da borra ácida da palma pode ser operado em batelada, em reator contínuo com agitação como também em reatores contínuos de leito fixo."CATALYTIC PROCESS FOR STERIFICATION OF FATTY ACIDS PRESENT IN THE ACID PALM RUBBER USING ACID SOLID CATALYZERS". The present invention is generally related to the process for transforming fatty acids present in palm acid sludge into methyl or ethyl esters and the use of catalysts in this process. The process described in the present invention is a catalytic process, presenting the optimal reaction conditions in terms of temperature, pressure, space time and concentration of reagents for the efficient transformation of fatty acids into esters. The present invention also relates to the use of solid acid site-based catalysts in the process for transforming palm fatty acids into methyl or ethyl esters. The process of transformation of palm acid sludge can be operated in batch, continuous stirred reactor as well as continuous fixed bed reactors.
