Abstract

FOR TRANSESTERIFICATION OF VEGETABLE OILS AND ANIMAL FATS, MODIFIED BASED CATHYLIZED FOR PRODUCTION OF ALKYL ESTERS The present invention comprises the production of alkyl esters such as Biodiesel from any vegetable oils or animal fat in the methyl or ethyl routes. , catalyzed by a strong modified base, both in the homogeneous phase, where a high yield is obtained, in the transesterification reaction, promoting the spontaneous decantation of glycerin. After removal of excess alcohol from the reaction medium, catalyst neutralization and purification, the esters (biodiesel) of greater than 99% purity are obtained. The catalysts of the present invention allow both batch and continuous processes where all the engineering of industrial plants already operating with methanol can be used to operate on the ethyl route. The catalysts in the heterogeneous phase simplify the process as they do not contaminate the products, do not require the neutralization and purification steps of the alkyl esters, and are not consumed during the transesterification process.
