Abstract

"DISPOSITIVO DE LIBERAçãO OSMóTICO TENDO UMA VáLVULA DE DUAS VIAS E UM CANAL DE ESCOAMENTO DINAMICAMENTE AUTO-AJUSTáVEL". A patente de invenção refere-se a um sistema de liberação atuado osmoticamente, implantável tendo uma válvula de duas vias, dinâmica e um canal de escoamento de fluido de geometria variável, auto-ajustável. Na medida em que a pressão dentro do sistema de liberação de agente sobe, o canal de fluido se estreita, restringindo, desse modo, o escoamento. Em pressões excepcionalmente altas, a válvula pode ser projetada para fechar completamente no orifício ou na extremidade de liberação, ou pode proporcionar um caminho de vazamento mínimo, de modo que um escoamento de fluido máximo não é nunca excedido. A uma pressão zero ou muito baixa, a válvula vai fechar completamente na extremidade do reservatório de agente benéfico, isolando a formulação de agente benéfico da infiltração de fluido externa e eliminando, desse modo, a difusão de fluido externo para a formulação de agente benéfico.
