Abstract
"MéTODO DE COMUNICAçãO DE DADOS". Um transmissor transmite campos de dados sucessivos, e cada campo de dados inclui uma mistura de segmentos de dados de VSB e segmentos de dados de E-VSB e partes intercaladas de mapas. Os mapas definem as misturas de segmentos de dados de VSB e segmentos de dados de E-VSB em campos de dados correspondentes a serem transmitidos depois que os mapas correspondentes são transmitidos. Antes de intercalação, os mapas são codificados. Em um receptor, os mapas são desintercalados e decodificados assim para derivar a mistura de segmentos de dados de VSB e E-VSB definindo cada um dos campos de dados. A intercalação e desintercalação têm uma latência combinada de pelo menos L campos. Os segmentos de dados de VSB e E-VSB de cada um dos campos de dados são separados em resposta aos mapas desintercalados.
