"PROCESSO PARA PREPARAçãO DE UM DIOL QUIRAL NãO RACêMICO ENANCIOMERICAMENTE ENRIQUECIDO E UM COMPOSTO EPóXI QUIRAL NãO RACêMICO ENANCIOMERICAMENTE ENRIQUECIDO POR REAçãO DE RESOLUçãO CINéTICA HIDROLìTICA". A presente invenção provê um processo para preparação de um diol quiral não racêmico enanciomericamente enriquecido e um composto epóxi quiral não racêmico enanciomericamente enriquecido por uma reação de resolução cinética hidrolítica. o processo inclui a etapa de contatar oxigênio e mistura incluindo um composto epóxi quiral racêmico, um catalisador complexo Co(II) não racêmico, ácido carboxílico aromático e água, a uma temperatura e por um período de tempo suficientes para produzir uma mistura de diol quiral não racêmico e o composto epóxi quiral não racêmico. A presente invenção provê, também, um processo para preparação de diol quiral não racêmico enanciomericamente enriquecido e um composto epóxi quiral não racêmico enanciomericamente enriquecido por uma reação de resolução cinética hidrolítica. O processo inclui a etapa de: contato de um composto epóxi quiral racêmico e água, em presença de um complexo não racêmico de Co(III) possuindo um contra-ânion carboxilato de arila, a uma temperatura e por um período de tempo suficientes para produzir uma mistura do diol quiral não racêmico e do composto epóxi quiral não racêmico.
