Abstract

"INIBIçãO DE TYROPHAGUS PUTRESCENTIAE EM PRODUTOS ALIMENTìCIOS PARA ANIMAIS DE ESTIMAçãO". A presente invenção refere-se a um método para inibir o crescimento de Tyrophagus putrescentiae em um produto alimentício para animais de estimação incluindo a etapa de adicionar no mínimo 0,3% de ácido linoléico conjugado (CLA) ao produto alimentício para animais de estimação. Especificamente, o acréscimo de ácido linoléico conjugado ao produto alimentício para animais de estimação inclui as etapas de adicionar ácido linoléico conjugado a uma pró-mistura de farinha para alimento para animais de estimação, extrusar a pré-mistura contendo ácido linoléico conjugado para formar o produto alimentício para animais de estimação, cortar o produto alimentício para animais de estimação até o tamanho e secar o produto alimentício para animais de estimação. O método pode adicionalmente conter a etapa de revestir o produto alimentício para animais de estimação cortado até o tamanho e seco com ácido linoléico conjugado.
