Abstract

"MéTODO PARA OXIDAR UM COMBUSTìVEL, MISTURA DE CATALISADOR, E, SISTEMA DE OXIDAçãO DE COMBUSTìVEL". São descritos uma composição de catalisador e um método para oxidar combustíveis. A composição de catalisador compreende pelo menos um composto tendo um de um grupo (III), grupo (IIA) ou elemento lantanídeo, tal como, por exemplo, Alumínio, Magnésio ou Césio, e pelo menos um composto tendo pelo menos um elemento selecionado do grupo (IA), grupo (IVA), grupo (VI), grupo (VII), grupo (VIII), grupo (IB), grupo (IIB) e suas combinações, tais como, por exemplo, platina, ródio e rênio. Um método para oxidar um combustível, compreendendo prover um combustível e uma mistura de catalisador; transportar o combustível e o catalisador para a zona de chama separadamente; misturar o combustível e o catalisador; e oxidar o combustível. O método e a mistura de catalisador podem ser empregados para oxidação de qualquer combustível baseado em hidrocarbonetos.
