Abstract

"LANçA PARA INJETAR UM GáS QUE CONTéM OXIGêNIO PREAQUECIDO EM UM VASO QUE CONTéM UM BANHO DE MATERIAL FUNDIDO E APARELHO PARA PRODUZIR METAL FERROSO". Expõe-se uma lança para injetar um gás que contém oxigênio preaquecido em um vaso que contém um banho de material fundido. A lança (26) inclui um conduto de fluxo de gás alongado (31) a partir do qual é descarregado gás proveniente do conduto. O conduto inclui (i) tubos de aço carbono interno e externo, concêntricos (37, 39), que proporcionam o suporte estrutural principal para o conduto, (ii) disposições de passagem de alimentação de água de refrigeração e de retorno (43, 44) que se estendem através da parede de conduto a partir da extremidade traseira para a extremidade dianteira do conduto, e (iii) uma disposição mecânica na forma de ressaltos (136) na superfície exterior do conduto adaptadas para conterem uma camada de escória endurecida no conduto. A lança também inclui uma entrada de gás (32) para introduzir gás quente na extremidade traseira do conduto. A lança também inclui uma disposição de ponta (36) unida aos tubos concêntricos na extremidade dianteira do conduto. A lança inclui igualmente um revestimento de proteção formado a partir de um material refratário, ou outro material, que é capaz de proteger o conduto da exposição ao fluxo de gás a 800-1400<198>C através do conduto. O revestimento é um material não metálico com propriedades de isolamento de calor quando comparado aos tubos de aço. A lança também inclui uma disposição de redemoinho (34) localizada no conduto para transmitir movimento de redemoinho ao fluxo de gás através da extremidade dianteira do conduto.
