Abstract
"MéTODOS PARA DETERMINAR, CARACTERìSTICAS DE UMA FORMAçãO DE TERRA, VELOCIDADE DE POLARIZAçõES DE ONDA DE CISALHAMENTO RáPIDA E LENTA EM UMA FORMAçãO DE TERRA ANISOTRóPICA, E UMA ORIENTAçãO DE ONDAS DE CISALHAMENTO POLARIZADAS RáPIDA E LENTA EM UMA FORMAçãO DE TERRA ANISOTRóPICA". A patente divulga uma técnica de processamento de sinal para determinar as polarizações de onda de cisalhamento rápida e lenta, e sua orientação, para ondas acústicas em uma formação de terra anisotrópica. O método de processamento de sinal decompõe formas de onda recebidas compostas inúmeras vezes utilizando inúmeros diferentes ângulos de incidência. Os sinais decompostos são utilizados para criar sinais fonte estimados. Os sinais fonte estimados são comparados de alguma maneira para obter uma função objetivo. Localizações em uma plotagem onde a função objetivo alcança valores mínimos são indicadores da velocidade acústica das polarizações rápida e lenta dentro da formação.
