Abstract

"COLUNA DE DIRECIONAMENTO". Uma coluna de direcionamento (10) inclui um elemento de coluna de direcionamento (12) conectável com um volante e rotacionável para girar as rodas direcionáveis do veículo. Um apoio de montagem (66) conecta a coluna de direcionamento (10) a uma estrutura de veículo. Um suporte (24), através do qual o elemento de coluna de direcionamento (12) se estende, é conectado ao apoio de montagem (66). O suporte (24) suporta o elemento de coluna de direcionamento (12) para rotacionar em torno de um eixo longitudinal (26) do elemento de coluna de direcionamento (12) e é móvel com relação ao apoio de montagem. Um mecanismo de travamento (130) trava o suporte (24) em qualquer uma dentre uma pluralidade de posições com relação ao apoio de montagem (66). O mecanismo de travamento (130) possui uma alavanca de travamento (132) com primeira e segunda extremidades (171 e 136). Uma mola (194) aplica uma força à primeira extremidade (171) da alavanca (132) para empurrar a segunda extremidade (136) da alavanca para prender o suporte (24) ao apoio de montagem (66). A primeira extremidade (171) da alavanca (132) move contra a força aplicada pela mola (194) para permitir o movimento do suporte (24) com relação ao apoio de montagem (66).
