Abstract

"DISPOSITIVO GERADOR DE GáS HìBRIDO UTILIZADO EM SEGURANçA AUTOMOBILìSTICA PARA INFLAR UM COLCHãO DE PROTEçãO LATERAL". A presente invenção refere-se a um dispositivo (1) gerador de gás híbrido utilizado para inflar pelo menos um colchão de proteção lateral, caracterizado pelo fato de que ele compreende: - um elemento flexível (9) que contém um carregamento pirotécnico (10) e que possui uma extremidade a montante (13) e uma extremidade a jusante. _ um reservatório (18) de gás (19) sob pressão que apresenta uma extremidade a montante e uma extremidade a jusante (30), - um dispositivo de ignição (3) eletropirotécnico alojado em um corpo (2) próximo da extremidade a montante (13) do elemento flexível e da extremidade a jusante (30) do reservatório. - o dito dispositivo de ignição sendo próprio para provocar em funcionamento, por um lado, a iniciação em combustão do carregamento pirotécnico contido dentro do elemento flexível, e por outro lado, a liberação do gás sob pressão contido dentro do reservatório.
