Abstract

"RODA DE CORTE AQUECIDA". Uma roda de corte rotativa ou giratória é utilizada para aquecer um substrato polimérico, à medida em que este é cortado. A roda de corte possui um aquecedor e um binário térmico associado à mesma, os quais são utilizados para aquecer e controlar a temperatura desta roda de corte. O calor amolece o substrato, tornando-o mais fácil e cortar e reduzindo a distorção causada pelo corte. Um corte mais limpo também torna mais provável que o polímero fique retiro no reforço quando o substrato é um polimero reforçado. Um método de acordo com a invenção compreende as etapas de aquecimento da roda de corte e atravessamento do substrato com a roda de corte aquecida.
