"PEçA DE MOEDA NãO-CUNHADA BIMETáLICA DE ZINCO REVESTIDA DE ALUMìNIO". Uma peça de moeda não-cunhada de laminado metálico compósito compreende camadas de revestimento de alumínio comercialmente puro metalurgicamente unidas a um núcleo de liga de zinco. O núcleo de liga de zinco pode conter um agente de endurecimento, tal como cobre ou titânio, usado para aumentar a dureza da liga acima daquela do zinco puro. Quantidades traço de outros elementos também podem estar presentes no núcleo de liga de zinco ou nas camadas de revestimento de alumínio comercialmente puro, que não afetem suas propriedades inerentes.
