Abstract
"MéTODO DE SEQuESTRAR SULFETO DE HIDROGêNIO". A invenção refere-se à descrição de um processo para seq³estrar sulfeto de hidrogênio de um sistema de fases mistas, em particular, um fluido de hidrocarboneto tendo uma fase líquida e uma fase aquosa. O fluido de hidrocarboneto contém um alto nível de sulfeto de hidrogênio, o qual pode ser acima de 5000 ppm em peso na fase gasosa do fluido antes do tratamento. O formaldeído, preferivelmente com água, é adicionado ao fluido. O processo é particularmente útil para o seq³estro em linha de sulfeto de hidrogênio de petróleo bruto ácido contendo níveis de sulfeto de hidrogênio muito altos. O teor de sulfeto de hidrogênio do petróleo bruto que é distribuído para a plataforma é reduzido até níveis seguros e comercialmente aceitáveis e a formação de subprodutos sólidos é insignificante. Este processo, assim, vantajosamente proporciona uma maneira de baixo custo de desenvolver campos de petróleo ácido que, de outra forma, não seriam seguros ou economicamente viáveis de desenvolver ou vantajosamente proporciona um modo de modificar os processos existentes de manusear fluidos de hidrocarbonetos ácidos, por exemplo, dentro de campos de petróleo já em produção, de modo tal que o método de acordo com a presente invenção substitui os métodos existentes adotados.
